If you're a fan of the late Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series, then you're probably already aware of Atlus' next big project, Catherine.
Said to have been developed by the "Persona" team, this new project shows promise...not in a genre we expect, but with all the story-telling jazz.
Previews of full gameplay can be seen on youtube--and it looks like the bulk of gameplay is puzzle based. Each level is based entirely in the dream world of the protagonist. However, as mentioned before--gameplay footage reveals that players may be able to roam around in the real world as a regular feature.
Don't let the Stage Boss catch up to you...or it's all over |
I don't know much about the story--but as I can understand so far...
You are the protagonist. A un-extraordinary salary man. You're dating your colleague(superior?)...her name is Katherine. Apparently, she's pushing for you to "pop-the-question". One night, after hangin' out with your friends at the usual spot you meet this "ideal woman"...completely perfect, like she came out of a dream. Her name is Catherine. And let's just say...by the end of that night, you exchange more than just names...
Torn in a love triangle--you'll have to brave the horrors of dreams and reality.
In-game Graphics are Beautifully Done |
The story is certainly something that's got me real interested, despite the fact that I'm not a fan of puzzlers. I'm not sure...If I'm willing to shell out the $60--we'll see~
Sure that you'll already love this game and looking to pre-order it?
As described above, there are two versions...regular and deluxe edition. Regular you can buy where you usually get your fix of video games. However, the deluxe edition will only be sold on places such as Amazon.com. More importantly...Deluxe Editions will only be made to order, so get them now because you won't see them in stores. What's included?
